Predawn fire reduces parts of Mississippi's largest synagogue to charred ruins - Mississippi Today A fire heavily damaged Jackson’s only synagogue before dawn Saturday – the same house of worship that was firebombed by the Ku Klux Klan in 1967 because the rabbi had been an advocate for civil rights.

As one of the first schools in Mississippi to host the IYT program, Reimagine Prep has been a pioneer in creating spaces where young men of color can thrive. We believe in the power of resilience, and during the recent "Fail Forward" workshop, our brothers learned that a "crash landing" isn’t the end; it’s a lesson! Through building paper airplanes, they discovered that patience, listening, and trying again are the keys to true brotherhood and success.

A huge shoutout to our very own Brother Timothy (6th Grade), who was also named as the Brother of the Month! Timothy not only participated, but he also led the room in the IYT Creed and then delivered a powerful speech he wrote himself. We are also thrilled to celebrate our very own Dr. Jasmine Thornton, our Chief Scholar and Family Experience Officer, on her appointment as Co-Chair of the IYT Mississippi Board of Advisors. Her leadership ensures our scholars are not just educated, but empowered!
