Two Rivers Middle School

School’s out for summer!! We spent our last day playing games and celebrating students, but we miss them already! Have a fun and safe summer, students! Good luck to our students who are transitioning to high school. We will see the rest of you on August 11th when the pirate ship sets S.A.I.L. again!

Yesterday our students made the journey from Two Rivers Middle to McGavock High School. As they left Two Rivers, we showered them in green paint and when they arrived the high school, some 9th graders were waiting to throw red and blue paint- inducting our students into the Raider Nation! Congratulations to our 8th grade class for reaching this milestone and thank you McGavock High School for helping us start a new tradition!

Field Day fun! The Pirates showed up ready to compete on Friday and we saw winners across all grade levels! Shoutout to all the participants, all who wore their grade level colors, and to all the teachers and staff who made this great day happen! Maybe the students will beat the teachers in tug-of-war in 2027😉

Two Rivers students have been out SAILing in the community lately! Below are pictures of students visiting McGavock High School for club field trips, visiting Stanford Montessori PTO to talk with the 5th graders and bring over a finalized collaborative art project, our students competing against other MNPS middle schools at Battle of the Books, and our 7th grade Amazon mentoring students visiting the Amazon Fulfilment Center in Lebanon. Thank you all for giving our students the opportunity to be leaders and learners in your spaces!

A big shoutout to Ms. Stahel and the TRMS band! Our students put on their spring concert on Tuesday and wowed everyone with their growth and talent. We wish our 8th grade students sailing off for high school band all the best and look forward to what our current 6th and 7th graders will be performing next year.

On Monday night we honored our student athletes at the annual Sports Banquet. Thank you to Santa Fe Cattle Company for donating the food for the athletes and thank you to PTO for feeding all the families! Congratulations to all of our athletes, coaches, and administration for a wonderful year of sports! Let's go Pirates!

On Monday we had a wonderful Career Day with nearly 20 guests here to speak to our students about a variety of careers! Students attended three sessions and had the chance to engage in hands on simulations, practice working in the field, and ask questions of the guests. Thank you to the community partners and volunteers who came out to support this event!

We have wonderful community partners and church partners that support Two Rivers Middle School all year long. Last week, many of them showed up to make sure that our teachers and staff felt loved, supported, and appreciated during Teacher Appreciation Week.  Though we did not get pictures of everyone that supported last week, here are a few to showcase how partners showed up for us last week. From food, to community stakeholder conversations, and a soothing sound bath- we felt the love! Thank you partners!

This message is for rising 6th graders who are attending Two Rivers Middle School this fall and are interested in cheerleading. Cheer tryouts are May 18th and 19 from 4:15-5:30. Students need to have a sports physical prior to tryouts. Our cheer team is exceptional! We would love to have you join it!

One week ago, our students were dancing the night away at our May the 4th Be With You/Cinco de Mayo Fiesta/Sneaker Ball! Students had a great time and even some of our staff took to the dance floor. This was a great way to celebrate our amazing school year!
