It took us 12 years to learn that we weren’t on the same page or book.

Both of us doing the inner work allows us to show up, communicate, and be conscious of each other’s pains, needs, desires, and where we need to forgive and support.

We just hit year 18, and healing didn’t just help us find ourselves and transform, it also saved our marriage.

I have been a Postpartum Coach for six years.

Now I am a Somatic & Family Healing Coach (which by the way still includes postpartum) but now officially adding individuals, couples, families, and all those ready to break the cycle and feel like themselves again.

And I cannot wait to show you what that looks like and to support more of you, your family, friends, or those you know who would benefit from this work and me being their coach.

Brave as a Mother wasn’t created from anyone or from anywhere else.

I created it because I wanted to know how to finally heal my anxiety and depression, not hurt my kids with my pain, and love the woman motherhood made me.

I thought there was a linear way to healing and feeling like me again, but over the past 6 years of doing this work I’ve learned that we all have a pizza — and finding the right slices and toppings for that pizza can feel overwhelming.

That’s why I created this roadmap, that’s why I created my own methods to help moms heal, feel their emotions, and not be afraid of their thoughts.

That’s why I created the Brave as a Mother Program, to not just treat the symptoms of postpartum mood disorders but to heal the ROOTS to postpartum mood disorders.

This program isn’t just for the mom who just had a baby, it’s also for the mom who has been silently struggling for days, months, or years…knowing there is something else she is missing to her healing or what you’ve tried is helping but your still not feeling like you again.

If that’s you, message me “BRAVE”, and let’s chat or comment “FIRST STEP” to listen to the podcast episode about your first steps toward healing.

Being a young mom to 5 kids and having postpartum depression and anxiety triggered everything we thought we knew about each other and really tested us and our marriage.

People assume we’ve made it this long because we got lucky.

We didn’t.

We made it because I hit my rock bottom and chose to heal and come through it stronger.

And he chose to heal and evolve with me.

We stopped expecting each other to read minds and started learning the language underneath the fighting and the pain.

Gifts and touch. Wounds and reaching. Two kids who grew up starving for different things, trying to feed each other from an empty cup.

Then when we became parents and ppd/ppa hit, the gap between us got even wider.

I needed to be seen in the middle of feeling like I was disappearing. He didn’t know how to reach me.

We didn’t fix it by trying harder.

We fixed it by getting honest about what we were actually asking for, even in the worst season.

That’s not luck. That’s the healing work. And it’s still working, 6 years since choosing to heal and eighteen years in our marriage as a whole.

We both choose each other, repair, and heal everyday.

Thats exactly what we do inside Brave as a Mother/Father.

*A quick but important note...
Everything I’m sharing here is about two people who are both willing to grow. Both showing up. Both doing the hard, beautiful work, even imperfectly. Not something one person carries alone. This is not permission to stay in an unsafe or unhealthy relationship.
