Here's a look at what our coaches can do with their athletes - One of .harrell1's new athletes, Carson, just got started last week. As an adult learned swimmer, the more feedback the Jack can give him, the better. Here's a sneak peak into his swim form analysis.

If you're interested in a swim form analysis, 1:1 coaching, or learned something from this video, send us a DM and let us know what you learned!

WT Athlete of the week: McKenna Morello!🥇

Ironman is all about dealing with adversity as it comes, and McKenna did just that to take the overall amateur win at 70.3 Chattanooga! With a respiratory virus that came on leading into race week, she was still able to stay calm and execute her plan.

Nothing too crazy in the water. Found her rhythm and found clean water.

The spectacular day really started on the bike - a 17 minute PR after it hasn’t necessarily been at 100% in the past few years. The goal was to be disciplined, aero, aggressive, and adaptable. She had to adapt when she lost a bottle 5 miles in with all of her nutrition. Not going down the mental rabbit hole and staying process oriented helped keep her from the dreaded mental spiral, which often leads to a physical one.

She fueled aggressively at the start of the run, doing her best to make up for some of the missed carbs on the bike. That payed off, but the second lap (2/2) was still tough. Tightness in the chest from the residual sickness was present but seeing her teammates and Coach Conrad helped to lift her up until the finish.

We asked McKenna about how the WT community has impacted her leading into this race. Here’s what she said:

“Working Tri has been an absolute game changer for my development as an athlete. I started triathlon alone and didn’t know many people in this sport and working Tri has allowed me to build community around a sport I love. There was SO much support in Chattanooga from teammates and coaches who literally made the race that much more fun and I’m just super grateful for this group.”

Working Triathlete 70.3 Chattanooga Athlete Highlight: Andrea Vita!

We asked Andrea and her coach, Derek Owens, to tell us about what it means to race this weekend. Here's her story:

Thirty-six hours before 70.3 Chattanooga in 2024, Andrea found out she was pregnant. A discovery she was starting to believe was not in the cards for her. She made the call not to race - not because she couldn't, but because she trusted God and herself enough to know it wasn't her moment. She deferred once, then again, as her daughter arrived in late January 2025 and life became something bigger than any finish line.
Six months postpartum she came back to coaching. Ten months postpartum, she ran a marathon. This weekend, she finally toes the line at the race she's been waiting on for two years. Same course. Different person. 🤍

It doesn't get more full circle than this. Andrea works full time as well, and embodies the spirit of what it means to be a Working Triathlete. Let's go Andrea!

Big day for our WT age groupers in Panama City! A shortened swim set up an interesting race - With and powering through the adversity. A 2nd place AG performance from Jeffrey (with a PR bike AND run) and a 10th place AG by +PR bike. It was a fast day out there in Florida, where the fastest (unofficial) 70.3 bike split of all time was set by Sam Long. What a day to have a day! Well done boys! Who's racing Chattanooga next week? 🙋
