BUSHCRAFT CARVING
The Baton (Wooden Striker and Tool Aid)

Learn one of the most fundamental tools in bushcraft—the baton. Often called a “wooden striker,” a baton is used for controlled wood-splitting, fire prep, and carving support. In this hands-on class, participants will create their own durable baton from raw wood using safe knife and carving techniques. Learn how to select the right piece of green or seasoned wood along with shaping and smoothing a balanced, comfortable baton. Carve gripping surfaces and reinforce strength points.
