Brooke Mihalek Wins TSA Script Contest with "One Last Ride"! At this year's Spring Social, writer Brooke Mihalek won the Tennessee Screenwriting Association's 'Short 'N Sweet' script contest with her romantic drama, "One Last Ride."

Over 30 screenwriters, actors, and filmmakers gathered for TSA's 'Spring Social' event this year. We saluted the finalists of our 'Short 'N Sweet' script contest, as well as the winner Brooke Mihalek, who had her romantic drama "One More Ride" get the table read treatment as part of a future episode of TSA's Page 2 Screen series. We also announced TSA's new Chase Scholarship program (details coming on how to apply over the next few weeks).

Thanks to all who attended the Social, to the volunteers who made the event run, NECAT staff, and to Alan, Andrea, Saul, Paula for performing in the table read.

From our blog... a report from Monday night's Watch Party, where we screened the live broadcast of episode 3 of Fox's "Memory Of A Killer" which was co-written by TSA's Heidi-Marie Ferren!

Memories of a Killer Event (Pun Intended) When we learned that "Samurai" - episode 103 of the Fox crime drama series 'Memory of a Killer' - was co-written by TSA Board member Heidi-Marie Ferren, we sprang into action and not even Nashville's recent Ice-pocalypse could stop us!

Happy Thanksgiving from the TSA! As we celebrate with friends and family over the next few days, I just wanted to say how thankful I am for all the amazing people I got to meet and work with since this time last year.

Congrats to the writers who made Honor Roll in TSA's first Script School class by completing a new feature film script from logline to "the end" in less than 9 months!

Script School "Honor Roll" Students Recognized at Script-Com! In February 2025, the Tennessee Screenwriting Association launched its Script School program for members of the TSA.
