Let’s meet our founder ✨
Hey! My name is Nije Johnson. Here’s my story! At the age of 7, I lost both parents. My dad passed away when I was 2 and my mom passed when I was 7. I found myself alone and confused because I was just a kid. A kid with no parents. My Aunt Denise would raise me as her own so that I wouldn’t have to go into foster care. My aunt put me in grief support groups and made sure I had a great support system growing up.
While in high school I found myself involved in a lot of activities. One, in particular, was sharing and holding “Grief Awareness” days with the help of resources from the Highmark Caring Place. This is also the place that taught me how to properly cope and deal with my parent's death. So they hold a special place in my heart.
In 2012 I graduated high school and went away to college. I graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fisk University in Nashville, TN. Five years later I completed a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am Certified in many different specialties such as Grief and Bereavement, Trauma, a Life Coach specializing in Grief Coaching and Child Centered Play Therapy
