This weekend is so bittersweet for me. Today I grieve the passing of my mom 21 years ago 💜 which it never gets easier as the years past, it actually gets harder with time.

Also, this year not only Am I grieving but tomorrow I get to celebrate becoming a new mom and celebrating the my aunt who raised me into the women I am today and helping me become a great mom for Seven. 💜

Talk about an emotional roller coaster 😭 dealing with the what If’s again and sad because my son will never meet his grandma. But life went into full circle when god blessed me with Seven. This year I have finally felt complete. In 21 years I’ve never felt this feeling I woke up with this morning. Grieving yes but also COMPLETE. Grief sucks and never gets easy but today I’ve never felt grief like this. 🥹😇.

Some days I get discouraged because I feel like my business isn’t taking off the way it should be and then things like this happen 💜 I’m so happy I could be an asset to this young ladies healing process! I know god is not done with me yet 💜💪🏽🙌🏽

I just wanted to start the New Year of with complete gratitude ! Since publishing my book “The Day I Lost My Purple Flower” & my interactive workout book for children dealing with grief, I have received great feedback and love towards my story and how it has helped others 💜 i have sold over 100 hard copies and 58 people read the book via kindle! For my first project i am please and so grateful for everyone who has supported me! Gives me that push I need to start number TWO ! I can’t wait to share the next project with you guys! Hey! My name is Nije Johnson. Here’s my story! At the age of 7, I lost both parents. My dad passed away when I was 2 and my mom passed when I  was 7. I found myself alone and confused because I was just a kid. A kid with no parents. My Aunt Denise would raise me as her own so that I wouldn’t have to go into foster care. My aunt put me in grief support groups and made sure I had a great support system growing up. 

While in high school I found myself involved in a lot of activities. One, in particular, was sharing and holding “Grief Awareness” days with the help of resources from the Highmark Caring Place. This is also the place that taught me how to properly cope and deal with my parent's death. So they hold a special place in my heart. 

In 2012 I graduated high school and went away to college. I graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fisk University in Nashville, TN. Five years later I completed a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am Certified in many different specialties such as Grief and Bereavement, Trauma, a Life Coach specializing in Grief Coaching and Child Centered Play Therapy
