This is where it started.

Animal Rescue was one of the very first things we as a nonprofit ever did. After Hurricanes Irma and Maria, two back to back category 5 storms that annihilated the British Virgin Islands, we rescued 78 puppies and 12 kittens. From there, the work expanded to rescuing horses out of kill pens, off racetracks where they had been left to die, and out of situations of starvation and abandonment.

We brought them in. We rehabilitated them. And then something unexpected happened.
The animals we saved started saving people.

Today, the same horses, ponies, and rescue animals that were once too afraid to be touched are the ones meeting our most vulnerable participants every single week.

Children with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, and developmental delays who find their balance, voice, and confidence with an animal that meets them exactly where they are.

Children carrying stories of physical and sexual abuse that they cannot yet tell, who find safety, agency, and worth in the presence of an animal that has also known fear.

Women survivors who learn to lead, set boundaries, and rebuild trust in their own body alongside a herd that listens without judgment.

Veterans and first responders carrying PTSD, traumatic brain injury, suicidal ideation, and trauma layered on top of trauma, who experience clarity, release, and reconnection in a single session. Because here, you do not have to speak. The horse already feels what you cannot say.

This is what your support funds.

The is sponsored by , a privately owned resort that shares the island and donates its land and original infrastructure to the nonprofit at no cost. Resort guests who book equine experiences make donations that flow directly back into community programming, making the resort one of our largest annual funders of this program. Because of this model, every session for the children, the women, and the Heroes we serve is provided free of charge.

“I gained more in one hour than I have in 30 years of therapy.” Heal the Heroes participant.

When Hurricane Helene devastated parts of Western North Carolina, entire communities were swallowed by floodwaters and mudslides. Roads disappeared. Families became trapped. Small mountain towns were suddenly cut off from the world.

While most ran away from the disaster… our heroes ran toward it.

This award-winning documentary by captures the real story of Aerial Recovery when Hurricane Helene hit WNC.

Entire mountain communities were cut off. Roads collapsed into rivers. Families were stranded without power, water, medicine, or any way to call for help. Some people were trapped for days.

This documentary shows what actually happened on the ground.

Not headlines. Not opinions. Real footage. Real rescues. Real people.

You’ll see helicopters flying supplies and rescue teams into areas that couldn’t be reached by vehicle. Veterans and first responders working around the clock. Volunteers carrying aid through mud and destroyed terrain just to reach isolated families. Community members opening their homes, churches, farms, and businesses to help complete strangers survive.

What happened in those mountains was heartbreaking. But it was also one of the most inspiring displays of humanity we have ever witnessed.

This film honors the people of Western North Carolina and the incredible men and women who showed up to serve them.

We are incredibly proud of the work our teams, partners, pilots, volunteers, and local community members accomplished together during this disaster response. Thousands of lives were impacted through rescue operations, supply deliveries, wellness checks, evacuations, equipment support, and ongoing relief efforts across the region.

They are organized. Calculated.
And they won’t stop - unless we do something about it.

Some people ask if evil is really as bad as they hear.

It is worse.

An 18-month-old little boy in Peru was repeatedly s*xually abused by a man who filmed and sold the crimes online. When his mother caught the abuse and live stream happening, she grabbed her baby and ran to the police station for help.

Doctors later confirmed the child now carries an STD from the abuse.

The family was living in extreme poverty with almost nothing. No safety net. No stability. No way forward alone.

But this week, something powerful happened.

The Aerial Recovery’s War Room came together and committed to supporting this baby boy and his special needs mother for the next two years.

Because rescue is not where this boy’s story ends.

Healing requires food.
Healing requires safety.
Healing requires transportation to doctors appointments.
Healing requires medication.
Healing requires people who refuse to look away when the headlines are gone.

Aerial Recovery’s Survivor Support Program is now helping provide safe shelter, essentials, medical support, and ongoing care so this child’s future is not defined by the evil done to him.

This is the part people don’t always see about anti-trafficking work.

It is not just raids.
It is not just arrests.
It is rebuilding human lives after darkness tried to destroy them.

The investigation is ongoing alongside Peruvian authorities and the Cybercrimes Unit Against Children.

Please pray for this little boy.
Pray for his mother.
Pray for every child still waiting to be found.

And if you’ve ever wondered whether one person can make a difference…

This child’s future is already changing because people chose to care.

$236 billion a year.
49.6 million people.
Less than a billion to fight it.

When disaster strikes, traffickers move.

Hurricanes. Earthquakes. Displacement. The same conditions that create humanitarian emergencies also create trafficking vulnerabilities. Families and children get displaced. Desperation drives people to accept offers they would never otherwise consider. The infrastructure that might have protected them is wiped out.

Traffickers are predators, and disasters are their hunting ground.
This is why Aerial Recovery always keeps an eye out. When our Humanitarian Special Operators deploy to a disaster zone, they are not only delivering aid. They are providing a security presence that deters exploitation when communities are most exposed.

To every law enforcement officer reading this: you will encounter human trafficking in your career. Many of you already have.

These are not hypotheticals. These are cases.

🚦Human trafficking generates $236 billion a year in illegal profits. The global resources committed to fighting it amount to less than a billion dollars. That is not a fair fight.

Our co-founders and are featured in the April 2026 issue of Law Enforcement Today — Column No. 01 of a four-part series called “To Catch a Trafficker.”

In this first column, they pull back the curtain on the invisible war being waged against 49.6 million people trapped in modern slavery right now, and what law enforcement needs to know to fight it.

Inside this column:
🔹 A firsthand account of an undercover operation in Honduras and the trafficker who didn’t know who he was talking to
🔹 The real scale of the enemy: numbers, networks, and how they operate like businesses
🔹 How Tren de Aragua built an industrial-scale trafficking enterprise across Northern Lima and what it took to bring it down
🔹 Why 58% of victims are trafficked inside their own country, meaning this is happening in your jurisdiction

Evil is very organized. We are on the front line of taking these people down.

Read the full column at the link below. Column No. 02 goes inside an undercover operation step by step, from the first handshake with a trafficker to the moment the raid team comes through the door.

This is digital era trafficking.

A predator ran a fake casting operation across Argentina and Peru, targeting young women through Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Telegram with false promises of paid work and private distribution.

Across three phases of investigation, 69 victims were identified, 157 videos were recovered, and critical evidence emerged that led directly to arrest and nine criminal charges.

When investigators and prosecutors needed help, they called on Aerial Recovery. Using open-source intelligence, Aerial Recovery identified the victims and provided the evidence that made justice possible.

This is happening everywhere right now. On every platform. At a rapid rate. And it’s targeting the young people in your life at an alarming rate.
