The Congressional Award encourages military youth to start their journey and earn Congress’s highest award for youth.

Since military youth often move many times before graduating, the great part about the Congressional Award program is that you can bring it with you wherever you go.

The program is ideal for military youth because it allows participants to move at their own pace, whether they move locations or change schools. The Congressional Award provides participants, no matter where they live, with a structured, yet flexible, platform to achieve personal goals.

The Congressional Award and Johnson & Johnson have teamed up to support military youth in their pursuit of The Congressional Award. Throughout the Month of the Military Child, and every day, these resources are here for the military youth in your district!

This comprehensive resource provides guidance tailored to the unique challenges faced by military children, assisting them in setting and achieving goals across Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration.

The Congressional Award provides participants, no matter where they live, with a structured, yet flexible, platform to achieve personal goals.

• The Congressional Award program offers six levels, with varying requirements and time commitments, providing built-in flexibility to accommodate the military lifestyle. Participants set goals based on their interests and move at their own pace.
• The Congressional Award program offers continual activity that is not affected by moves. Youth may continue to participate even if a parent separates or retires from service.
• Earning the Congressional Award can help set participants apart on college and job applications because it shows commitment to service and personal development. It also empowers participants to take responsibility, discover new talents, and advocate for themselves and for others.
