Our hearts are filled with gratitude and we are singing the doxology as a cummunity in response to the faithfulness and generosity of our Auburn United Methodist Church family (Auburn, NY). Thank you for the warm and gracious welcome, fellowship and support for student access through this gift of an endowed scholarship, presented to AU TN President/CEO, James H. Salley by Rev. Dr. Alan Kinney and Mr. Gary Lewis, on behalf of the congregation and the Gene and Florence Starbuck Scholarship Fund Committee. In a memorable Sunday worship service focusing on transformation through the Word, the Spirit and meaningful discipleship, our time of conversation/sharing of this scrumptious cake and tea was just delightful! https://www.unyumc.org/news/article/auburn-umc-paying-it-forward?fbclid=IwY2xjawQBrBlleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETJWc0xqenA0MnpCeU1Xb3FEc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHnH910HlZ0DxZrLb1tMZiMFK1yMBZ8yOiAqzJm9Odji0NYqDtinMeaXzURZi_aem_FBYTupdxqlAn6-1CbdRvMQ United Methodists of Upper New York

Beyond academic goals, there is palpable excitement about reconnecting with clubs, teams, friendships, and campus life. Here’s to another vibrant season of learning, leadership, and investing in Africa’s future.

Happening now on the AU main campus, celebrating the legacy making leadership of Lisa Winton Tichenor of Highland Park United Methodist Church, Board Chair emeritus of AU Tennessee Inc. Council of Bishops President, Bishop Tracy S. Malone, described her as the “most passionate and extraordinarily impactful advocate” whose work has inspired us all.

Thank you, Bishop Joao Sambo (Mozambique Episcopal Area) and Mr Karima Chilima, UMCom staff) for a wonderful family get together at the AU Tennessee offices in Nashville, TN earlier today. Together, we gave thanks for this year’s freshman class of 898 students, which includes our first student from Madagascar, part of your episcopal area. Thirty (30) African countries are now represented in the student body. We are beyond proud of your leadership and deeply appreciate you for holding the students, faculty, and staff of AU in your prayers.

It’s a wrap for game play at the W - BLFGI 2025 at the Orangeburg Country Club! The drizzle didnt dampen the excitement one bit. Great play, good food and an awesome gathering of AU friends and family. Thanks for supporting the cause by picking up Rev Joe Abram’s book of poems and those unique recycled wire pieces made by African youth. Asante sana! Tatenda! Obrigado! Merci! It’s been a great day.
