Let’s meet our 2022-2023 rider lineup!! Meet GRACE HINLEY:

Hi everyone, I’m a Senior from Glen Ellyn, Illinois studying Marketing. This is my 4th year on the team and I am also serving as Captain this year. I grew up riding lots of off track thoroughbreds as well as ranch horses - so Hunter Equitation was very new to me 4 years ago. I’ve loved my time learning and competing with our team and hope to qualify for Regionals again this year!

hi! my name is annalise, and i’m a sophomore from new jersey majoring in psychology. i’ve been riding horses for 13 years now, and began with saddle seat riding when i was six years old. when i was 13, i started working at a clydesdale farm and i’ve been riding these big guys ever since! i have no competition experience, but i have always had such a huge desire to compete, especially after having the opportunity to work for grand prix dressage rider kymberly pullen. i am so excited to be part of a team of such kind and talented riders!

A SHOWSTOPPING weekend for the Ave Maria Equestrian Team! For the first time in school program history, Junior Grace Hinley wins RESERVE CHAMPION HIGH POINT RIDER out of 48 riders eligible and 200+ rides of the day! Go Gyrene Equestrian!! 💚💙 Both riders had solid rides with Jessica Bryant placing 4th in Limit Flat on Saturday! On Sunday, Grace Hinley placed 3rd over fences and WON her flat!

A great weekend for AMU Equestrian at SCAD! 💚💙 Congrats to Grace Hinley on her first weekend in the Limit division & Senior Jessica Bryant for qualifying for REGIONAL FINALS in the Novice Flat - both Grace and Jessica will be competing at Regionals at UF in March. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing cheerleaders Karen (& Willow 👶🏼)!!!

Meet Clare K!
Clare is entering her senior year as a Marketing major. Last year, Clare continued her third year on the team and competed in Pre-Novice for the first time. Her focus was to continue working on her post for trotting and to perfect her diagonals. Her hard work paid off, as she placed second at SCAD. @ Ave Maria University

Rider Spotlight 💫

Grace is a Business Administrator major entering her sophomore year. She is from northern Illinois and has been riding since she was six years old. She began competing with the team last year, and placed first in three competitions at SCAD. She looks forward to learning more as a rider, and continuing to ride with the team for the remainder of her time at Ave Maria.
