Grace Place Naples

Grace Place for Children and Families is a nonprofit family literacy center committed to providing pathways out of poverty by educating children and families.

Grace Place enrolls over 1,200 individuals in its education programs each year. Its nationally recognized Bright Beginnings program, a Grace Place Family Literacy Model®, serves preschool children and their parents. Grace Place School Age Programs, funded by the Florida Department of Education, provide afterschool, summer, and college access programming to K-12 youth. The Adult Education program a

t Grace Place offers English language, literacy, computer literacy, and citizenship courses. Helping families throughout Collier County combat food insecurity, the Food Pantry at Grace Place serves over 300 families each week. Grace Place works extensively with community partners to provide medical and mental health screenings, referrals for other services, and financial literacy classes to the Golden Gate community. Grace Place offers many volunteer opportunities in its literacy programs, mentoring, adult education, and other areas.

At 11 years old, Adriana arrived in the United States from Haiti speaking very little English.

This spring, she'll graduate from Florida International University and take the next step toward her dream of becoming a pediatrician.

When Adriana joined Grace Place in sixth grade, she was shy, struggled with English, and wasn't sure where she fit in. Through hard work, mentorship, and the support of Grace Place, she excelled academically, earned a full-ride college scholarship, and remained deeply involved with Grace Place as a volunteer, employee, and leader.

From helping in the food pantry to leading our Family Food Distribution program as an intern, Adriana has spent years giving back to the community that helped shape her journey.

Today, she's preparing for medical school and inspiring the next generation of students to dream big.

Several members of the Grace Place team recently attended the annual Collier County Public Schools Contractors Safety Meeting at district headquarters.

Topics included building safety and security, accessing intensive behavior interventions, and responding to health emergencies. Ongoing training helps ensure we provide a safe, supportive learning environment for every child and family we serve.

🥕🍎 Nourishing families. Strengthening community.

Twice each month, Grace Place's Family Food Distribution program helps ensure Grace Place students have access to nutritious food and household essentials. Through the generosity of Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Inc., and our dedicated volunteers, families receive grocery staples, fresh produce, and healthy meal options that support their well-being and help stretch household budgets.

More than a food distribution, this program creates a stronger foundation for children to focus on learning, achievement, and future success.

⚾ Building Confidence One Experience at a Time

This summer, eight Grace Place students traveled to Maryland for the unforgettable Cal Ripken Camp experience. Throughout the week, they built confidence, formed new friendships, learned teamwork, explored future career opportunities, and stepped outside their comfort zones through exciting activities like zip lining, rock climbing, and baseball training.

The greatest win wasn't on the field. It was watching students discover new strengths, embrace challenges, and return home believing more in themselves than ever before.

🌱🦋 Growing Curious Minds Through Summer Discovery

This summer, Grace Place’s Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) students explored nature through hands-on learning experiences, from planting seeds to observing a caterpillar's transformation into a butterfly. These hands-on experiences helped students build confidence, ask questions, and discover the joy of learning.

As they prepare for kindergarten, these young learners are carrying forward the curiosity and skills they need to thrive.
