At 60, I’ve realized there is so little in life I can actually control…

I can’t control our crazy travel schedule. I can’t control how quickly seasons change. I can’t slow down time. And I definitely can’t keep my kids little forever.

But I CAN control how I respond.

So Scott and I have started intentionally creating space to spend time with our kids one couple at a time…almost like little “double dates” that last several days.

This week was Sophie & Keaton. ❤️

Dodger games. Beach days. Long conversations. Laughing until we cried. Making memories while we still can.

I can’t control everything in life…but I can make sure we intentionally put more of what matters into the parts of life we can control.

And honestly I think that’s part of creating a life you love.

It started with something small.

A moment that stirred bigger feelings than I expected… feeling a little unseen… a little out of place.

And then later that day…

An unexpected conversation turned into sitting down and sharing a meal.

Real life. Real connection.
The kind where you feel like yourself again.
