This past weekend Maaz Shamim, Zachary Richards, and Mario Reyes all competed in the final round of SFA's Band and Orchestra Concerto Competition, and we are so proud of all of them!

All of the students performed so well during the competition, and Mario Reyes was selected as the winner of the Band Concerto Competition with his performance of the third movement of David Maslanka's Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Wind Ensemble. Huge thanks to Dr. Thomas Nixon for playing so incredibly with all of our saxophonists throughout the competition!

Go Mario! We can't wait to hear you perform with the SFA Wind Ensemble!
