Bring your questions. We would love to share more! Building Students' Futures one student at time!
Some students learn best by sitting and listening. Others need to move, make, build, measure, design, test, and try again.
South Carolina Construction Academy High School was created for students who want a more hands-on high school experience while still earning their South Carolina high school diploma.
Students will have the opportunity to explore career-connected pathways while building skills that can help them after graduation — whether they plan to enter the workforce, attend technical college, or pursue a college path in areas like architecture, engineering, design, or construction management.

SCCA is honored to have Doug Obenour (pictured second from the left) with Building Talent Foundation serve as our Chairperson for the SCCA CTE Advisory Council. Included in the photo are our two instructors for plumbing and electrical. High school students will be fortunate to learn from these two skilled individuals. We are Building Students’ Futures!
When people hear “construction high school,” they may think only of tools and job sites.
But construction connects to so much more:
Architecture. Design. Engineering. Project management. Construction management. Business. Technology. Problem-solving. Leadership.
At South Carolina Construction Academy High School, students can explore hands-on skilled trades while also preparing for college, technical school, the workforce, or whatever path fits their goals.
Parents of rising high school students are invited to learn more during our virtual information session.

What a great day at South Carolina Construction Academy High School!
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host a chess tournament and welcome 50 student competitors and their families to our school. We loved meeting everyone, watching the matches, and seeing students of all ages challenge themselves, compete, and celebrate their wins.
It was such a neat reminder that learning takes many forms — and chess is a powerful way for students to build focus, strategy, patience, and confidence.
Thank you to all of the families, competitors, and organizers who made the day a success. We were grateful to host you!
Enrollment is open now for families looking for a different kind of school experience — whether that’s South Carolina Construction Academy High School for grades 9–12 or our sister school, Morning Star Academy, with a STEAM-focused K–8 program.
