Our Littles got creative for Fire Prevention Week! 🚒

They made adorable handprint fire crafts using red, orange, and yellow while exploring colors and color mixing. We also practiced an important fire safety phrase: “Don’t hide, go outside!” ❤️💛🧡

10/13/2026

During Fire Prevention Week, our Littles kicked things off with a fun-filled firefighter dispatch dramatic play experience! Our little firefighters used phones, old computer keyboards, dress-up clothes, and toy fire extinguishers to bring their imaginations to life. Through pretend play, they explored what it might be like to respond to emergencies while building communication, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Learning through play is always an adventure at Little Steps Daycare! Where family, learning, and adventure begin.🚒🧯👨🏼‍🚒

Take a peek at the artwork displayed in our entrance! 🖼️

Our art gallery is refreshed weekly so our littles always have a chance to show off their creativity and hard work.

These sweet creations were just too cute not to share! 🥰🎨

We love giving our littles a special place to see their artwork proudly displayed and celebrated. Every masterpiece tells a little story, and we are so proud of our young artists!

Welcome to the Little Steps Art Gallery! 🖍️🎨

This month, our theme is Orchard Harvest, and we are tying our learning into hands-on sensory experiences! 🌳🍎

Our Apple Orchard Sensory Bin gives our friends the opportunity to practice counting with our pom pom apples. They can also place their pom pom apples onto our Velcro trees, helping them strengthen their fine motor skills while exploring the concept of an apple orchard. 🍎🌳

We also have our Pumpkin Patch Sensory Bin, where our littles can practice counting and sorting beans by color brown, black, and white while also counting and identifying pumpkins from brown to orange. 🎃

These sensory bins tie into our theme perfectly while helping our littles develop counting skills, color recognition, sorting, fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, concentration, and early math skills all while learning through play! 🧡

At Little Steps, we believe learning can be hands-on, engaging, and FUN!

Last week, our focus was the Life Cycle of Trees, with a special focus on the roots of a tree. 🪾

As part of our lesson, our littles participated in a button-stringing activity where the string and buttons represented the roots of a tree. Our friends did an AMAZING job even our one-year-old worked so hard to string their buttons! 👏🏽💕

This hands-on activity encouraged our littles to practice fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, patience, and problem-solving while making a connection to our tree roots lesson.

We love giving our littles opportunities to learn through hands-on play and exploration! 🌱

Today, we celebrate the amazing teachers and staff who pour their hearts into our littles each and every day. 💕

Thank you for your patience, your creativity, your dedication, and most importantly, the love and care you show our children. From teaching new skills and encouraging curiosity to comforting little hearts and creating special memories, what you do matters!

At Little Steps, our teachers and staff are more than caregivers you are teachers, role models, encouragers, protectors, and trusted members of our Little Steps family.

We are so grateful for each of you and all that you do to help our littles learn, grow, laugh, and shine! 🌱

💛 Happy World Teachers’ Day to our amazing Little Steps team!
We appreciate you today and every day!

With love,

🩷Day 4: Little Steps Pride Day! 👣

We’re closing out Legacy Spirit Week by showing off our Little Steps gear! 👕✨

Why is this important? Because Legacy Week is about more than just dressing up it’s about belonging, connection, and building a strong sense of community. When our littles wear their Little Steps gear, they’re proudly showing that they are part of something special.

We’re creating memories, building friendships, and reminding our littles that they belong, they matter, and they are an important part of the Little Steps family!

That’s what Legacy Week is all about. 🩷👣

🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

This October, Little Steps Daycare proudly stands in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

We honor the survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and lift up every family and individual affected by breast cancer. May this month remind us of the importance of awareness, early detection, support, and taking care of ourselves and one another.

From our Little Steps family to yours, we’re thinking pink and spreading hope! 💕🎀
