The Mundelein Arts Commission is delighted to welcome back Kelly Tooley to Lure of the Local! ✨

A singer-songwriter with a warm, folksy acoustic style, Kelly performs a heartfelt mix of original songs and genre-spanning covers. But music for her is more than performance — it’s a way of life.

Guided by the belief “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life,” Kelly has spent the past 14+ years sharing that love through teaching. As the founder of Ainsley Lane Studio, she offers piano and ukulele lessons for students ages 4 to 94, nurturing confidence, curiosity, and lifelong musicianship through personalized, joyful learning.

When she’s not on stage or teaching, you might find Kelly songwriting, hosting living room open mics, line dancing, exploring Lake County, or adventuring with her two young sons.

The Halloween performance video is finally here! I’m especially proud of this year’s video because I think it well demonstrates the range of activities we do in lessons; in addition to repertoire pieces, you’ll hear medleys, mashups, compositions, duets with variations, and even an improvisation. So much creativity!

I hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making it!
