70 years ago, JDAY+/CCIM+ was born!

Since then, we've been bringing middle and high school students and educators across the region to join Ball State community leaders in networking and exploring journalism, media, communications, and more.

Join at this year's conference April 25 to celebrate our special platinum anniversary. We'll have an array of spectacular industry leaders on campus and announce the winners of this year's middle and high school student contests.

Announcing the second Featured Speaker for this year's JDAY+/CCIM+ Conference: Oseye Boyd!

Oseye is editor-in-chief of Mirror Indy, a nonprofit news organization created to fill gaps in local news coverage in Indianapolis. She's a veteran journalist with more than 25 years of experience including her time as public engagement editor for IndyStar, spearheading the Black Community Advisory Council and launching the podcast "Voices of the Community," and serving as editor of the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper and Indiana Minority Business Magazine.

BREAKING NEWS: Ball State's annual student media contest deadline has been extended! Entries may be submitted until Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Contest categories represent every aspect of journalistic storytelling including writing, design, broadcast, photography and social media.
