⚽️🌲 Wild Woods: Soccer Edition!

Yesterday, Paul from the YMCA joined our Forest Academy kiddos for some soccer fun! They practiced new skills, movement, coordination, and—just as importantly—listening and following directions.

It was HOT. ☀️ It was HARD. 💪 And they kept going.

👏WOW! WOW! WOW! 👏

Our families out at Forest Academy really showed up!! This past week we collected donations for the folks in need in Gary Indiana.

Up in Gary Indiana some folks have gone without power for WEEKS due to 100mph winds that blew through there. We teamed up with a group of ✨magical humans✨ that are donating their time and energy taking a caravan of supplies up there to help!

THANK YOU again to all our parents and students that gathered up these donations!! We couldn’t have done it without all your generosity!!

🌿🐍 Wild Woods was brought to us by Scalez & Tailz! 🦎🌎

Since our Forest Academy students are learning about South America, Scalez & Tailz brought the learning to LIFE!

Students got to meet, touch, feel, and even hold an Argentine black and white tegu, a red-tailed boa constrictor, another South American snake, and a bullsnake native to Indiana!

🦎 Did you know? Tegus have incredibly strong jaws and a powerful bite! Their jaws help them eat all kinds of foods in the wild.

Experiences like this are exactly what Wild Woods is all about—connecting what we’re learning to the real world through hands-on experiences in nature.

Future teachers in the forest!

Yesterday was our very first day with our Ball State pre-service teachers, and we are so excited to welcome them into the Forest Academy! 💚

There is something pretty special about creating a space where our youngest learners and future educators can learn and grow alongside one another. We can’t wait to see what this partnership brings this year!
