Still searching!! Spread the word! We need someone, but it would be a couple of months before we would start needing them in class. Ideally, I would like to have 20+ rehearsals before a performance, but we could go as low as 8.

Get the word out! Mrs. Berry is looking for a piano accompanist for our high school choir performances this coming year. It is super part-time and she is very flexible when setting up a schedule, but the classes are in the morning (first 3 hours) and we always have a full run-through rehearsal on the day of concerts. We will also need an accompanist for KSHSAA 4A State Large Group festival in April. Today we made the very early and long drive to DeSoto High School for KSHSAA State solo and small ensemble festival. Congratulations to our singers on their performances today! They showed so much grit to get through this grueling week as most of them are involved in the Spring Play and had a performance last night as well as tonight. What a bunch of troopers!

We did it! Today our Wildcat Choral Union traveled to Ark City to perform at the State KSHSAA Large Group Festival. The kids performed the hardest music we have tried since I came to town and they walked away with an overall “I” Outstanding rating! Brava tutti!

What a splendid day at Regional Solo- Small Ensemble Festival in Andover! 🤗. It was a full day and we brought many events. Congratulations to our “I” rated group and soloists who have qualified to perform at State Festival next month! Brava to all who performed today. Good ratings all around. Photos to come!

Esprit de Corps just returned from a spectacular performance trip to Branson, MO. On Tuesday we were the pre-show performance for “The Haygoods” which is officially our tradition now 🤗 The Haygoods are so sweet and amazingly gifted, and they put on a jaw-dropping show. Highly recommend! Esprit put in one of their best performances to date; our parent group of chaperones was so proud ❤️ On Wednesday, we spent a gorgeous day at Silver Dollar City. Could not have asked for better weather, thank goodness!

What an amazing day for Katy and Kinsley at KMEA AllState Middle Level Choir. They worked their tails off at rehearsal throughout the day and then put on a brilliant concert for family and friends. Julie Yu, their conductor was inspired and programmed such beautiful and thought provoking selections. I was privileged to start assisting with the choir this year and loved hanging with them all day long!
