Registration for our Blue2 Winds & Blue2 Percussion programs is now open!

This extracurricular program is open to all 5th-12th grade band students. Students, coached by specialists on their instrument, are challenged with a wide variety of styles and genres and conclude the experience by performing at Solo & Ensemble festivals as well as showcase concerts at Mukwonago High School. This is a great opportunity for any students looking for a challenge or just to level up their playing ability!

This past weekend, our marching band students not only performed at the Friday night football game and competed at the WSMA State Marching Band Championships on Saturday, but they also had their annual recording session on Sunday. We are excited to announce that the recordings are done being edited and this year's official video will be shown for the first time at tonight's MHS Band Concert (7pm, Greenwald PAC). If hearing the students' fantastic music and seeing the first showing of "Cursed" wasn't enough motivation yet, we will also be announcing next season's marching band show theme right after the viewing of "Cursed"! We can't wait, and hope to see you there!

First high school band concert of year! Come enjoy a wide variety of styles and genres performed by the MHS Percussion Ensembles, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble, plus a special video feature of the MHS Marching Band's 2025 show "Cursed" compiled from their recording session this past weekend!

Some exciting early-season competition results from our MHS Marching Band! Two weeks ago the band placed 3rd out of 17 total bands at the Waukesha South Marchfest competition and followed it up with another 3rd place finish at the Greendale Invitational this past weekend! The band took home the Best Overall Percussion award at both competitions and scored highly in several other captions. The competitive season continues this Sunday (10/12) when we host our home competition and wraps up with a performance at the WSMA State Marching Band Championships on 10/18.

Unfortunately due to the presence of lightning and the extended thunderstorm forecast during our set up time, the MHS Band is unable to erect the field of flags today, July 4th. We thank you for your understanding and hope you have a wonderful Independence Day.

Concert night! Catch the MHS Jazz Bands tonight on Phantom Junction Stage! The MHS Choir will kick things off at 5:30pm followed by a couple of sets by MHS Big Band and Jazz Collective. Great weather & great music coming your way!

Our parent volunteers will also be running a booth for our Field of Flags event and will be happy to assist anyone in sponsoring a flag for Memorial Day. Tonight is the final opportunity to order flags in person, and online sales end after tomorrow. We are so close to 200 flags for Memorial Day! We are just a couple of weeks away from our 4th annual Field of Flags event!

What is the "Field of Flags"?​ On each of four summer American holidays, the Mukwonago Band students and staff display hundreds of American flags along East Veterans Way near the Mukwonago Area School District Office. In past years, there were over 200 flags graciously sponsored by families, community members, local businesses, and other generous supporters! Each flag is 3’x5’ and has a tag on the pole listing the donor’s name and a dedication that can be customized to honor a serviceperson or other hero in your life. Each sponsored flag is flown for all four summer Field of Flags events (Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day).

You can sponsor a flag (as well as find more information) by visiting our website (https://www.mukwonagobands.org/flags) and placing an online order or by printing off and mailing a copy of the pdf form. Our first display will take place on Memorial Day, so be sure to get your orders in soon (mail forms by May 20, order online by May 24) to ensure your place in this year’s Mukwonago Field of Flags.

Concert week has arrived! The Mukwonago HS Bands kick things off tonight with their final concert, "Kinetic Motion," comprised of music themed around the concept of movement. The concert starts at 7:00pm in the Greenwald PAC - we hope to see you there!
