In June 2025, the Moville Community Development Association Inc. (MCDAI) and the Moville Area Childcare Center Committee came together to apply for the Missouri River Historical Development (MRHD) Economic Development Match Grant.

We were incredibly honored to be selected as one of three projects in Woodbury County to receive this grant. This funding provided a significant boost to our childcare center project and helped move us one step closer to turning our vision into reality.

We are truly grateful to Missouri River Historical Development, Inc - MRHD for believing in our project and investing in the future of Moville. Their generous support has made a tremendous difference and has helped bring the vision of a childcare center in our community to life.

Back-to-school season is here, and it has us thinking about one of our valued community partners— Woodbury Central School.

As students head back to the classroom, we're reminded that investing in children begins long before Preschool. Quality early childhood experiences lay the foundation for lifelong learning, and that investment will benefit our rural communities for generations to come.

We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of Woodbury Central Community School throughout the development of the Moville Area Childcare Center. Our committee has worked closely with school leaders to better understand the childcare needs of local families and to ensure our vision aligns with the future of our community.

Thank you, Woodbury Central Community School, for your collaboration, insight, and shared commitment to helping children succeed from their earliest years. Together, we're building a stronger future for our families and our community.

A very big thank you to the B-fit Moville gals for helping us clean up before our open house last week. 🧹 This is a true example of many hands making light work. This beautiful facility would not have become a reality without help from our wonderful community. 💪🏻

There are not enough words to describe how grateful we feel after last night’s Open House. ❤️

The Moville Area Childcare Center was filled with community members, visitors, and young families eager to learn more. Seeing our rural area so full of life is the best thing we could ask for. 🥹

Thank you to so many who have supported this project. So many individuals and groups see the need for additional childcare in our rural areas. Bringing this facility to life truly took a village and we appreciate everyone who chipped in. 💪🏻

We can’t wait to welcome families on August 3rd! 🎉
