The Lot 12 parking lot in Downtown Mountain View will permanently close to the public, effective 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20.
The City-owned parking lot is closing for the construction of a new affordable housing project. The 1.56-acre parking lot is being redeveloped for a new 5-story building with 120 rental units. All units are deed-restricted to households earning 60 percent of area median income (AMI) or less except for one manager's unit.
Lot 12 is located across from City Hall and the Mountain View Public Library. Additionally, the southbound driving lane on Bryant Street will be closed to traffic for the entire construction period to ensure safe access and staging for construction.
Visitors are encouraged to use nearby parking garages and surface lots (visit the link in the first comment to see the map for alternative parking locations).
The City of Mountain View appreciates the community’s patience while construction of the affordable housing development is underway.
