🔔 Important Update for Texas ABA Providers

Magellan is exiting many markets as a TPA for ABA services. For Texas Medicaid MCOs and BCBSTX, ABA benefit administration will transition from Magellan to the parent health plan effective 12/31/2025.

✅ Until then:
-Magellan will continue authorizing care in 180-day increments.
-Parent plans will honor existing authorizations through their full duration.

⚠️ Action Items:
-Confirm you’re in-network with each parent plan (e.g., BCBSTX, Superior, Dell Children’s).
-Review each plan’s policies and credentialing requirements.
-Identify and inform affected clients about potential changes.

🗓 New authorizations must be submitted to the parent plan starting 1/1/2026. If you have specific questions regarding Magellan, please email us [email protected] or reach out to your Magellan contact.
