Across our state, families are facing growing food insecurity as SNAP benefits dwindle due to the government shut down and the cost of living continues to rise.
That is why the IEA is launching a statewide food drive to ensure no student goes hungry this winter, and we need your help.
We're calling on your local and asking you to partner with a food bank or organization that addresses hunger or food insecurity. Learn how you can get involved and make a difference. https://bit.ly/43IC5f7

What's the purpose of Music In Our Schools Month? It's to raise awareness of the importance of music education for ALL children — and to remind citizens that school is where all children should have access to music. Sing it out!

Check out how the students and staff of JL Buford in Mt. Vernon finished up their Black History Month Spirit Week.
Wednesday, staff and students wore black history month colors: 4th grade wore red, 5th grade wore yellow, teachers wore green, and all other staff wore black.
Thursday, they dressed in purple and wore bracelets to honor Ruby Bridges.
Friday was everyone's favorite, pajama day, so they could all dream like Martin.
