Thank you for the encouragement, support, and dedication to our students and staff. Although the levy outcome was not what we hoped, we appreciate all those who went above and beyond in support. Thank you to local businesses that endorsed the levy or displayed support publicly, as this takes courage. Thank you staff, committee members, and citizens who knocked on doors, displayed signs, and shared stories of how their students and families have been impacted by our school system. We feel hopeful by your support as we continue to build the future for our children. 🧡🖤

What happens if the levy does not pass?

The district has identified the following likely outcomes if the levy does not pass:

➡️ The district would continue operating in its current aging facilities, doing its best to maintain them and support students and families with the buildings and resources currently in place.

➡️ The district could risk losing access to nearly $40 million in state funding through the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission if local funding is not secured within the required timeframe, and those funds could be redirected to other districts.

➡️ The Board of Education would need to reevaluate its facilities strategy and determine next steps.

These outcomes are based on the Board’s current financial and facilities planning.

These priorities guided the development of the Facilities Master Plan. ⬇️

What would this plan include?
• 3 new elementary schools
• Renovations to the high school
• Safety and security upgrades
• Infrastructure improvements

✔️The goal is to create safe, modern, and efficient learning environments.

Many were built in a different era and no longer meet:
• Safety expectations
• Accessibility standards
• Modern learning needs
This is a key reason the district is evaluating long-term solutions.⬇️

Join us for a walkthrough of several of our elementary buildings and see firsthand both the strengths we’re proud of and the challenges we’re working to address. Staff members will be on hand to answer questions and share insights about how our facilities impact teaching and learning each day.

This plan guides future decisions for MVCS facilities.
