This past year has been full of life and business lessons. As our family
enters this New Chapter and I’ve been reconnecting with my inner guidance, I am feeling lead to close this old chapter and that means closing my business, as well as this Insta page (by tomorrow).

If you desire to have or keep up with a happy life then...

Try these on for size:

Let go of Fear of Failure - you can either use Failure as an excuse or a reason to keep moving forward. Failure is apart of learning and growing, which brings happiness when you see yourself work through it.

Let Go of things you can’t control - become aware of this and use affirmations in your own words to repeat to self that help you to feel safe letting go of the things you can’t control.

Let go of people pleasing - it’s okay if people are pleased by what you do for them, but if you want a happy life, make sure your pleasing yourself too or at least first if you want to have the energy to give to others.

These tips are easier said than done, so if you feel lead to work on any of these areas of your life with someone who can help, look no further.

If you’re feeling aches and pains in your backside then that could be your body’s way of saying...

That there are things from your past that are weighing you down, things you’re trying to hide from others or things you don’t want to deal with.

With flu season coming in strong, many of us are having aches and pains in our backside. I was taught that this is our body’s way of signaling for us to look a little deeper into the issue.

It’s not just the flu, but certain symptoms can be a sign for something else you might need to let go of or work on mentally.

Answer those questions to yourself and repeat the affirmation above to help you release and hopefully feel a little better each day.

Are you telling yourself your just too lazy to do anything because of your toddler?

That reasoning leaves no room, and no hope for moving forward if we want to get our energy back.

Besides, it may not be JUST your toddler causing you to feel low of energy, it could be more than that.

No matter what it is though, there is a way to help get you back on your feet again feeling like yourself once more.

Since moving our bodies is very important and not just to chase our little one around but for the sake of releasing tension and building strength. I have found yoga as a helpful tool for any age, all levels and interests.

The “Hot Mess Mama” label isn’t helping and here’s WHY ⬇️

More than ever society is coming up with label after label after label to put ppl in this box, category in order to decide what kind of person you are.

As a result we start clinging to them because it’s like High School all over again, we fit in and relate with the crowd that uses the label.

BUT WORDS ARE POWERFUL

The more you say it, the more you believe it and the more you become it.

I know some use it lightly, but that’s where it starts.

Again, you do you, say what you want, but know this... Motherhood is fully capable of being a thriving, energizing and empowering experience NOT JUST A HOT MESS ONE.

So if you want to feel like yourself, energized and slaying the day. Then focus on that image, aim towards that thought and those goals. The more you speak it, believe it, you’ll become it.

I believe you’re trying hard, even if you look glamorous, or your stuck in pj’s all day and I believe you can thrive whether your rich or poor, busy or not.

You Be You Mama, NOT THE LABEL.😘

... 10 years ago I was balloon vending at the Magic Kingdom. They asked me a few times to model for them, which was fun. This is a picture from an article they wrote on their blog last yearish (idk lol).

I worked there for 8 years.

Life has sent me for a loop in between then and now, but it’s made me a better person, I believe, and I’m grateful for where it’s landed me today.

Now I’m married, a mom, and Life Coach for new mama’s wanting their energy back.

I’m curious though...

Where were you working 10 years ago?

Keeping It Real Simple.. If you ever want to find out what’s draining your energy...

Take a look around your 🏡

Is there a lot of clutter?
How much of your stuff are or have you used in a while?
How many toys do your kids actually play with?
Is your decor lighting you up or weighing you down?
How much of those newborn memorabilia’s will actually make it outside the home when your kid grows up?

All we want to do is feel comfy and cozy in our homes, have everything at hand at a moments notice.

But having everything, especially what we don’t use enough of or as often can suck the life out of us just looking at it all.

Try this:

Start with one cupboard in the kitchen, the next day work on another one.

Or start with a small room with less stuff. Go with what you have enough energy for and recruit help, if possible.

Minimalist gets a bad rep...but remember, there is no one way, it’s just a concept, you can go extreme or keep some decor, store things elsewhere...it’s your home, but know this...

these are just things and if their draining your energy, it’s time to let them go.

If I had to choose what is most accurate pose to motherhood, mine wins 🤣. Sometimes I just want to join my kid, curl up in a ball, cry and someone give me what I want, A BREAK lol.

“Go to your room Valerie!”

“Absolutely”

But see, here’s the thing, we don’t need someone else’s permission to take care of ourselves. It’s the pros and cons of adulthood, WE GET TO CHOOSE!

Which means the only one holding you back from doing something for you, is YOU, not your kid, not your spouse, not your MIL, not your mom... YOU.

Start making the shift today by reminding yourself that you have the power of choice, this is your life, you are fully capable of finding a way to make time for yourself to take care of your mind, body and soul.

Repeat, “I will find a way” (even if an idea doesn’t come till later, say this every time you start to doubt )

WE ALL WANT TO HEAR FROM GOD/SOURCE/SPIRIT

MEDITATION IS A HELPFUL TOOL, BUT THAT’S JUST THE START

IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE CONNECTION GOING

TRY LOOKING AT WHAT OTHER THINGS YOU CAN OR ARE DOING NOW

WHAT IS AN ACTIVITY THAT ELEVATES YOU, ENERGIZES YOU, HELPS YOU TO FEEL MOTIVATED OR INSPIRED AFTERWARDS OR DURING.

BEING A MOM I DON’T ALWAYS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEDITATE.

SO THEN I TRY TO DO AN ACTIVITY THAT HELPS ME, not clear my mind exactly, BUT ALLOWS ME TO HEAR FROM SOURCE IF IM GETTING OVERWHELMED OR STUCK IN NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

Here are some examples:

WALKING
STRETCHING
BREATHING EXERCISE
ORGANIZING THINGS (this distracts my thoughts from most things and when I get done I feel so good and my mind is able to think clearly)
JOURNAL
READING (sometimes I get inspired through books or podcasts)
DOING DISHES (yes, the task is so simple it allows me to think, almost meditate effortlessly).

*PRO TIP: Make sure to watch your diet, sometimes food that weighs you down or sits too heavy can distract us from the connection we are trying to make. So do your best to eat foods that fuel you. Don’t over think it. If it’s bread, then eat bread, drink coffee... it’s all okay.

**ONE LAST NOTE: I offer an Energy Booster Session via zoom where we will go over things that drain you, energize you and I’ll show you how to implement what you need so your not left feeling burned out at the end of the and can keep that connection and energy flowing w/out pills and 5 cups of coffee. What is self-care “suppose” to look like for a mom?

There is so much talk out there about how self care is this & NOT that or that & NOT this. It’s NOT brushing your teeth, it’s candles and bubble baths 🙃

Let’s keep it simple folks:

Self care is about taking care of your health (mental/physical/spiritual). DONE

So if a mom finds herself feeling a sigh of relief from taking a shower, or brushing her teeth or taking a 💩 ALONE. That’s GREAT!!!

Should you 🛑 there, though?

NO!

Instead level it up, add something small like get a cute toothbrush, maybe instead of just taking a 💩 alone, try closing the door to your room to be alone for 1 min.

Everything you do to care for you counts, no matter how small. If it makes you happy, it’s working. Just don’t stop growing and trying new things along the way because I’m pretty sure you would like to go hang with your friends or pick up journaling again.

Don’t let anyone tell you what makes you happy and proud of yourself. Just don’t limit yourself to the world of possibilities when it comes to taking care of you mama.
