Mrs. McVey’s Wildcats were busy mathematicians today! Students worked with partners to build and represent numbers using base-ten blocks. Hands-on learning gives students the opportunity to visualize place value, explain their thinking, and learn from one another.

We love seeing our Wildcats working together, talking about math, and building strong number sense! 💙🤍🐾

🐍🌿 Wildlife Biologist Visits 3rd Grade! 🌿🐾

Our 3rd grade Wildcats had a special visitor! Wildlife Biologist Madison McVey with Copperhead Environmental Consulting joined our students to share about her career and the important work wildlife biologists do. This was a perfect real-world connection to our current science unit, where students are learning about wildlife biologists and how they study and protect animals and their habitats.

Thank you, Madison, for bringing science to life for our students and showing them where a love of science can take them! 💙🤍🐾🔬

We didn’t let a little rain dull our shine! ☔️🌟 Our kids had an amazing first day, and we were SO excited to welcome all those smiling faces back to school!
