Our students are doing all kinds of neat things this summer!

Temirlan Jandaliyev is completing an internship with the Lansing Board of Water & Light! "This summer I've been helping analyze and plan the electrical grid that powers Lansing and the surrounding communities, making sure it can deliver reliable, affordable electricity today while preparing for future growth. It's been exciting to work on real engineering projects that help keep the lights on for thousands of people."

It's exciting to see the vision for Central Michigan University's new Brooks Building becoming a reality. I'm particularly looking forward to the opportunities this dedicated space will create for collaboration, creativity, innovation for our students. Great things happen when diverse perspectives come together, and this building is designed to help make those connections possible.

Congratulations to everyone helping bring this project to life!

With new support from the state of Michigan, Brooks Hall will receive a much-needed renovation that creates learning spaces that inspire entrepreneurial thinking and collaborative problem solving.

Research is about more than discoveries. It's also about building relationships.

Our students Odil Dilmurodov (Computer Science), Lucille Nobis (Physics), and Isaac Newton Boakye (Chemistry) are spending the summer conducting undergraduate research in different labs across the CMU College of Science & Engineering. It's wonderful to see them connecting and building community along the way ❤️

Thank you to representatives of Case Systems, Inc., Gentex Corporation, Mitsuba Corporation, and SAPA, who participated in our first annual industry/business roundtable discussion this summer along with Mt Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce and Mt Pleasant Area Community Foundation.

We had an engaging discussion centered on building authentic, reciprocal relationships and identifying opportunities for meaningful collaboration. The exchange of ideas around current industry needs was both insightful and energizing. It's always inspiring to see what can happen when passionate people come together with a common goal.

Grateful for everyone that attended and made the drive to Central Michigan University, including Nikki Daisy Berghoff, PRC, Kelly Wehner, Eric Woodward, Kelly Vitz, William Werner, Joseph Glinski, Madeline St. Pierre, Padraic McMeel, Liz Conway and Itzel Marquez.

(and of course, we were engaged enough that we forgot to take pictures!!).

Looking forward already to the second one of these next summer!
