My space at the Art Within Reach Spring Art Show, at The Factory in Collingswood, before and after. So worth the challenge of setting up amid the metal- and wood-working machinery! Great show! Come on by between noon and 10pm today. Lots of perfect (and unique) Mothers Day gifts.
Thanks to all who visited last night - Randee Mateo, Robin Schwartz, Nancy Isaacs, Annette Patton, Irene Giman, Scott Kushner, Sandi Gerson Kushner, Allison Kushner, Zachary Adam, Sara Strickland, Gary Banin, Sheryle Banin.
Spent a few amazing hours doing mosaics with Ilyse Janove and the staff and volunteers of the Haddonfield Caring Hearts Ministry, an interfaith program for children in South Jersey living with HIV/AIDS. Met some warm, wonderful kids and parents.
Thanks, Robb! See you soon...

While it has never been my livelihood, for as long as I can remember, I have felt the need to create. During school and in the years following, I took every available art class — painting, sculpture, printmaking, 2- and 3-D design, and drawing. Eventually, I found stained glass and fell in love with the technical aspect of the art. After a number of years, I discovered mosaics and, through my stained glass, the freedom, flexibility, and infinite possibility it affords. This suited my newfound need for creating with fewer boundaries and my never-ending quest for expressing myself through art. I work with both natural and manmade materials, and love re-purposing objects. My favorites include stained glass, glass tiles, mirrored glass, seashells, beads, pull chain, jewelry, pottery shards, and fused glass. As my style evolves, I find myself seeking new techniques for communicating through my mosaics.
After working in biomedical research and human resources/office administration, I am now devoting all of my time to creating and teaching mosaics in my Mount Laurel studio.

Just delivered this frog garden stone to its new owner. It's going to be a retirement gift for a biology teacher. Hope she likes it!
