Reminders/Updates/Info for the week
This Monday October 12th, is College FIT Monday! We encourage all students and staff to wear their favorite college gear as we inspire our Hawks to dream big and explore their future college and career possibilities! We can't wait to see everyone showing off their college spirit on Monday!
Attention Band Parents!!! Your child has brought home a fundraiser form this weekend and we need your help in filling it out. Please help your child collect 15 contacts and fill them in on the back of their sheet. We really appreciate your help and support!
Parents, we want to remind you that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 15. Students will attend school from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Conferences will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a dinner break for teachers from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Also, Students will not attend school on Friday, October 16, due to it being an optional teacher workday.
On Thursday, October 15, students will bring home a letter explaining our school’s Additional Targeted Support and Improvement designation and our plan to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. Please review the letter to learn about our goals, support strategies, and ways families can partner with us to support student success.
Our student council has planned a fall spirit week from October 19th-23rd. Students and staff are encouraged to get in the fall spirit with different themes and activities for each day. More details will be posted on our page, so stay tuned!
As we get closer to the holiday season, we want to make sure our families are aware of resources available for Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance. If your family could use some help this holiday season, please visit our school page to complete the short Google Form. You can also reach out directly to our school social worker, Kaitlyn Walton, with any questions or to discuss available resources.
Parents please remember to view your students' attendance records and academic progress in Infinite Campus. Students and parents/guardians have real-time access to all attendance & academic data within Infinite Campus, and we strongly encourage you all to use it regularly. For our students participating in the Science Fair, we have a few important reminders about forms and after-school work sessions. All Science Fair participant forms must be turned in on Monday, October 12. Optional after-school work sessions will be offered on Monday and Wednesday until 5:30 p.m. Students must submit a signed participant form before staying after school. Please arrange for all rides to arrive by 5:30 p.m.
Please continue to encourage your child to do his/her best work, not just academically but behaviorally. We strive to provide a positive learning environment and we must all work together to make that happen. Also, each day our bus drivers do their best to safely transport our students to and from school. It is important that your child follow bus expectations and behave on the bus. If your child does not follow expectations he/she will lose the privilege of riding the bus.
Regular attendance is essential to student success. Every day at school gives students opportunities to learn, build relationships, and develop important skills. Even a few missed days can make it difficult to keep up. Please help your child arrive on time and attend school every day unless they are sick. Every day matters
This week in athletics, we will host volleyball and boys soccer scrimmages against Stanley on Wednesday, October 14. Admission is $5. Come out and support our Hawks!
