Pizza party 🎉 🍕 for lunch today in our class. I’ll be providing pizza, cookies, and drinks! Today’s our last day together, and it’s bitter sweet. These kids have grown so much. Thank you for trusting me with your babies! I love them! Have a great summer!

Update: just realized it’s raining. We will go outside under the awning this afternoon!

Yesterday we tried to have an easy day and it was a FAIL. They just couldn’t handle anything unstructured. Today, we are doing a beach day! I’m grabbing my beach hat, my beach towel, and stopping by the store this morning to grab popsicles! We are doing fun beach day inspired activities and heading outside for a long recess this afternoon! I’m ready for some fun!

Students can bring: bubbles, sidewalk chalk, a beach towel, hat, and sunglasses (if they have any of the above) Let’s have some fun this afternoon, kids!!!

Yesterday was our Paddington 🐻 and 🍿 Popcorn Party for reaching our 3,000 PAX points! I was proud of them! That means behavior during lessons has really gotten under control and they have been participating a lot! We had fun!

This weeks agenda:

Today - Math test! Students will get to work with a partner! Measuring with protractors has been A LOT from some. I feel like this is a higher learning skill that some are not ready for. I’ll help them as much as I can.

Wednesday- Last Reading Story in the text book, last Social Studies grade (worksheet). We will begin another chapter in Math (last one), and there will not be a test on it.

Thursday- We are beginning our Memory Book and having our Paddington and Popcorn party!

Friday- Last Reading, Spelling, Vocab, and Grammar test. Last Science grade (worksheet).

🌟 Next week- Memory book, “Getting Ready for 5th Grade” math and finishing Go Math. Friday is our Pizza Party 🎉 and LAST DAY! 2 hour early out!

Chapter 10 math test today! Students will be able to use their review test from yesterday and their math workbook for notes to help them with this. I realize angles and polygons are difficult for students who struggle with memorization and math. I am giving them every opportunity to succeed!
🧮 I will pass out the test.
🧮 Each student will get 2 paper clips to ask me questions. The goal is for them to use the resources available to them.
🧮 I will create a bonus question for them for extra credit. (5 points)

Earth Day 🌎 2023 is on Saturday this year, but we did an Earth Day collaborative poster that we will be hanging in the hall for everyone to notice! The kids did a great job on coming up with their commitment to our environment and coloring their portion!
