Gentry Regier is Heidelberg Germany participating in the 2026 International Summer Science School! He was recommended by his teacher Adam Robb and was accepted.

The participants are from Heidelberg’s sister cities: Odessa (Ukraine), Kumamoto (Japan), Montpellier (France), and Bautzen (Germany). In addition, young people from Jelenia Góra (Poland)—with which Heidelberg has maintained friendly relations for more than 25 years—Hudson (Ohio, USA), Moundridge (Kansas, USA), and Heidelberg are taking part. The International Summer Science School is a project of the City of Heidelberg in collaboration with the participating research institutions. It brings together young people from various countries who are interested in the natural sciences and promotes international exchange. At the same time, participants get to experience Heidelberg as a center of science firsthand.

Student shoutout! Ashley Schrag was selected to serve on the national board of directors for the North American Limosin Junior Association. Congratulations Ashley!

Our next 2026 NALJA Board of Directors Candidate is... Ashley Schrag from Moundridge, Kansas!

"I would like to be a national director to give youth the same junior national experience I had growing up. I remember Junior Nationals being the highlight of my year, constantly preparing for contests and looking forward to making new friends. I want the youth of the North American Limousin Junior Association to enjoy these experiences within the industry and find ways to use the skills learned within the show ring in their future careers, whether related to agriculture or not. Throughout my junior career, I have found that I enjoy helping others find their passion. My desire to serve as a North American Limousin Junior Board director is rooted in service and passion. I want to be a catalyst who positively impacts the future of those around me. Whether a member enjoys showing cattle and showmanship, public speaking and photography, or competing in events, I want to help them discover what is important in their lives."
