It's Election Day! Today is the last day to return your ballot, and your vote counts. The support was there for the last bond, but turnout was not. We've heard people say they regretted not voting.

This is a chance to make improvements that will help our schools and our community. These projects are important, and they will only get worse if we wait.

Please vote today. Your vote counts.

We need a new bus garage. We couldn't use the old one if we wanted to because it was condemned for safety reasons. It must be replaced.

The bond will build a new bus garage with a safe shop to maintain school buses. Please vote yes!

Election Day is tomorrow. Don't forget to return your ballot.

Facility projects are essential for keeping schools open and students and staff safe and healthy, so schools can focus on the mission to educate children.

Have you seen these holes in the door at the Jr./Sr. High School? They were for the hoses that drained and cleaned the flooded floors that required school closures when water levels rose? A new pump system in the school helped fix that at the Jr./Sr. High School last fall, but it was still a problem at the elementary school before winter break. Do you remember when school was disrupted before winter break because of a blocked sewer line?

The bond would make improvements to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Please vote yes!

Have you voted yet? Ballots are due on Tuesday for this important election. Your vote could be the difference.

Why are these projects important? Students need a safe, effective learning environment, and the problems are increasing and becoming more expensive to fix.

Here is the original dishwasher in the kitchen at Morton Elementary School. The machine is obsolete, and parts are no longer available. It is expensive to run, and when it breaks, maintenance staff have to try to make new parts for it. This is difficult and time-consuming. It cannot be replaced without a massive renovation to remove hazardous materials in the pipes, insulation and floor tiles.

Please vote yes. Return your ballot today.
