Last week we made homemade apple c***r, learned about the letter B, practiced our counting and letter sounds, read about the seasons & made our own four seasons trees, and worked together to make apple cobbler!

Last week we read one of my favorites, Stone Soup. We practiced the letter A by making apple stamp pictures, played the hand rhyme “This is the Way we Make the Soup”, learned about making soup and talked about sharing with others! We also discovered some new little creatures around the house and at the park!

“The sign said, ‘Don’t ever dig holes under this fence!’ But….the five little puppies dug a hole under the fence, just the same, and went for a walk in the wide, wide world.”

This week we walked for a picnic at our favorite park, read stories about puppies, and made puppy puppets! We practiced our ABCs & counting and learned motions to sing “Ears, Whiskers, Tail and Paws”

Last week we:
-Made leaf lanterns
-Practiced counting and number recognition with acorns
-Did “mystery paintings” to find our names
-Played with letter stamps in play dough
-Learned a new hand rhyme, “Whisky Frisky”
-Talked & read stories about trees

Last week we:
-Read Caps for Sale & retold the story with our storytelling pieces
-Worked on cutting & gluing skills to make our own hanging monkeys
-Sang & danced to songs like Five Little Monkeys
-Practiced recognizing & writing the letters in our names
-Had a water play day!

This week we:
-Mashed blueberries and made blueberry jam for snack time
-Danced and did motions to songs (our favorite- We're Going on a Bear Hunt!)
-Retold the story of the week with our storytelling basket
-Played hide and seek around the playroom for our names
-Painted baskets of blueberries
-Played & had a picnic at our favorite park!
And so much more!
