🐯 First Stop: University of Memphis!

Today, our High School Programs team had the opportunity to visit the University of Memphis to discuss Dual Enrollment best practices, share ideas, and learn more about the work being done to support students as they begin their college journey early.

We’re always looking for ways to grow, improve, and bring new ideas back home to better serve our students, families, and high school partners.

A huge thank you to the University of Memphis for the incredible hospitality! We enjoyed the conversations, the beautiful campus, and a great first stop on our Dual Enrollment Best Practices visits.

More than 2,300 high school students enrolled in Walters State dual enrollment courses in fall 2025, giving us the second-largest dual enrollment program among Tennessee’s community colleges.

Great day at Jeff County today! High School Programs wishes all of our schools a wonderful start to the 2026-27 school year!

We had a great time at the Life Maze event on Friday at Gatlinburg-Pittman! Incredible learning experience for sophomores and exposure to how their decisions now impact their future. Can’t wait until next year!
