👏🏼LET’S UNCOMPLICATE THINGS THAT ACTUALLY WORK.
It doesn’t have to be:
❌Burning a million calories
❌Only running to get results
❌Or hours spent on the treadmill
In fact, those things can actually work against you & lead to muscle loss which slows ⬇️ down your metabolism & shifts your body composition in the wrong direction 😫 Ever heard of “skinny fat”?!Trust me, I’ve been there!
I used to be a cardio bunny, y’all! If I didn’t get my 45 minute run in it was a BAD day 😭 I would look in the mirror & hate what I seen despite being a whole 108 lbs at the time. I would always wander how those girls in the magazines got those nice abs & toned muscles 💪 in effort to achieve the same look, what did I do?!?! Oh I ran more, of course 🤦🏽♀️
It wasn’t until I almost completely stopped with the running & learned to pick up weights that I was able to finally start liking the body that I had 🫶 The scale went up, my muscle mass increased & so did my confidence 🙌
So while running does have its many benefits, walking has just as many. These days walking is my choice of cardio 3-4x a week 😅
If you feel like you’ve been doing all the right things but not seeing results - it’s time to change things up & work smarter, not harder 👌

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️
Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer among woman worldwide? On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. This means one in eight women will be diagnosed this year. Although rare, men get breast cancer too. In 2020, an estimated 2,620 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year in the U.S.
Some tips from the Mayo Clinic to help reduce the risk of breast cancer 👇
Limit alcohol and smoking.
Control your weight and be physically active.
Limit dose and duration of hormone therapy.
Avoid exposure to radiation and environmental pollution.
Regular breast screenings and mammograms.
