Meet our cast!
Daphne is Henry’s dedicated, sarcastic, and direct girlfriend. Though the world is ending in only an hour, she is determined to receive some kind of happy ending that she wishes for with her boyfriend.
Daphne is played by Eva Warrington (she/her) from Nevis, MN. She is a Class of 2028 Elementary Education major, and her last 3 roles included Terminatrix in Terminator: The Musical, Henrietta Leavitt in Silent Sky, and Detective Casey Neptune in Alibis.
When asked what snack she always has on her, Eva answered “Raspberry fig bar”

Meet our cast!
Henry is Daphne’s loving (if a bit distracted) boyfriend of a year. And elementary school teacher who cares a lot about his father, Henry is torn between two worlds as the clock ticks down.
Henry is played by Moon Johnston (she/her) from Pipestone, MN. They are a Class of 2028 Theatre Arts major and Studio Arts minor, and their last 3 roles included Terminatrix in Terminator: The Musical, Handsome Warren in Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook, and on costume crew in Joan the Girl of Arc.
When asked what they always keep on them, Moon answered “pistachios.”

Jackie is the pregnant, yet pessimistic sister of Daphne. Having gone through two divorces, Jackie is still trying to find footing in life before the meteor appears in the sky.
Jackie is played by Kiera Lafferty (she/her) from Springfield, MN. She is a Class of 2028 Political Science major and Biology/History minor, and her last 3 roles included Jo March in Little Women, Urleen in Footloose, and Violet in It’s a Wonderful Life.
When asked what semi-popularchain restaurant she would own, Kiera answered “Outback Steakhouse”

Frank is the stoic father of Henry, and husband to the late Willa. Despite his slow and quiet nature, he has a clear love that he brings through for his son.
Frank is played by Mackenzie Applegate (she/her) from St. Stephen, MN. She is a Class of 2028 English major, and her last 3 roles included Gomez in the Addam’s Family Musical, Ethan in Governing Alice, and Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby.
When asked what snack she always has on her, Mackenzie answered “Cheez-Its, my #1”

MMPAC is excited to announce this semester’s Play in a Day! Play in a Day is the complete writing and production of a handful of plays in a rapid 24-hour time period! From writing the script, to directing/acting, and all other design elements, the play will be created and performed by students in just a day! The Show will be held in Edson Auditorium at 9:00PM on Saturday, January 31st.
We are looking for those interested in directing, acting, and playwriting! Play in a Day will begin Friday, January 30th at 9:00 PM. All participants are called at 9:00PM on Friday for the initial mandatory meeting. After the meeting, actors and directors are welcome to go home for much needed rest before the long day ahead. Playwrights will stay after the meeting to choose actors to write for and then write their play throughout the night. Directors are called at 7:00AM on Saturday to get the finished products of the scripts, read and pick them. Actors and designers are called to join at 8:00AM to begin the rehearsal and design process. There will be various breaks throughout the day. The shows will premiere at 9:00PM on Saturday, January 31st.
The Interest Form is due by 11:59 PM, January 29th. We will then send an email to everyone who submitted a form with our selections. We will send out an email to all participants with your role prior to the Friday night meeting along with any additional information you should be aware of.

Join us on January 28 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm in the HFA Theatre Scene Shop for a hands on puppet building workshop.
Associate Professor of Theatre Arts Lucas Granholm will lead a start to finish demonstration on how to build a Muppet style puppet, bringing foam, fabric, and character to life right before your eyes.
Participants are welcome to drop in, observe, ask questions, and come and go as they please. This workshop will explore the many styles and personalities puppets can take on, as well as how puppetry is used across a wide range of performance practices including theatre, film, and live entertainment.
All are welcome. Come play, learn, and see what makes a puppet breathe.
