While Tinlyn is busy exploring our Mellow Mama Station, she’s also working on:

🤏 Fine motor skills — grasping, pouring, turning & manipulating
👀 Hand-eye coordination — getting that corn right where she wants it
🧠 Cause & effect — “If I pour it here… what happens next?”
💪 Motor planning — figuring out how to make her idea actually work
✨ Focus & concentration — because sensory play has a way of pulling little minds right in
🔁 Problem solving & repetition — trying it again (and again…and again 😂) to see what changes

This is exactly why we love sensory play. Kids don’t need to know they’re learning. They just need the opportunity to PLAY. 🤎

And this Friday night, your little explorer can come play too!

Basically, if it needs built, hauled, loaded, unloaded, set up, fixed, or figured out… somehow it becomes his job. 😂🤎 and we are so appreciative of him!

Around here, he wears A LOT of hats—and somehow takes our wild “Okay, hear me out…” ideas and turns them into actual things for our little explorers.

And this week, he’s hard at work building something BRAND NEW for them to enjoy THIS FRIDAY! 👀🤠

We’re not giving away the surprise just yet… but we have a feeling this one is going to be a whole lot of fun.

Any guesses what he’s building?! 🔨✨

🎶🤠 COUNTRY NIGHT AT THE RUBY! 🤠🎶

We’re headed back to the Ruby Summer Concert Series this Friday, August 21 — and this week Ashley Cooke is taking the stage with Emily Lehr! 💚

And Mellow Mama’s will be there with something made especially for the littlest concertgoers. 🥹

After hearing from a mama last week about how much her daughter’s Concert On The Go Kit helped her enjoy the concert when things started feeling a little overwhelming, it reminded us exactly why we love creating these.

🍕✨ Welcome to our little Pizza Parlor! ✨🍕

When we spotted these ADORABLE slime pizza kits at Target for just $5, we knew we had to grab them! 🍕🤎 And of course, one little pizza kit quickly turned into a whole pizza-themed sensory experience!

We added a pizza sensory table + pretend kitchen and let the little chefs get to work! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🍅🧀

Mixing, creating, topping, serving, and lots of imaginative play — because sometimes the best play invitations start with a $5 Target find! 😂🍕
