What an incredible two days with our 11th and 12th grade Junior Nursing Academy students! 💙🩶

As students begin thinking about life after high school, this experience gave them the opportunity to step into the role of a nurse and develop an understanding of the knowledge, skills, and teamwork that are essential to the profession.

Highlights included:
✨ Hands-on patient care activities in our nursing skills lab
🩺 High-fidelity simulation experiences that challenged critical thinking and clinical decision-making
❤️ Vital signs practice and patient assessment skills
🧼 Infection prevention and hand hygiene education
🚑 Earning their Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Our students were highly engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and showed a genuine interest in nursing and healthcare careers.

We hope this experience sparked an interest in nursing and inspired them as they plan for their future.

During the academy, students:
🧼 Learned the importance of infection prevention and proper hand hygiene
❤️ Practiced taking vital signs
🏥 Participated in realistic patient simulation scenarios
🩹 Practiced hands-on nursing skills in our skills lab
🚑 Earned their Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

We hope this experience inspired these future healthcare professionals and gave them a glimpse into the rewarding world of nursing. Thank you to all of our faculty, staff, and partners who helped make this week such a success!
