Urgency is a spotlight.
If you want to truly know what your skills are you must shoot under pressure. The moment we add urgency we get to see who we really are as a shooter.
That’s why I like to end my CCW class with a little competition where students must apply the skills we have covered but with urgency.
Having a timer, an audience, and an outcome all add presser. And pressure helps identify deficiencies.

It has been said that -aiming is useless if you can’t press the trigger without disrupting your sight alignment. Dry fire practice allows you (or your coach) to see issues that are very difficult to see in live fire.

Nearly 31,000 post offices, a 1972 Postal Service regulation, and a federal statute carrying up to a year in prison. The Attorney General asked the Justice Department whether a licensed carrier who walks in to buy stamps is committing a crime, and the answer that came back is not the one the Department has been arguing in court.
