🌾 Fueling Your Body for Optimal Performance 🌾

For active women, especially those going through perimenopause and menopause, fueling your body properly is key to getting the most out of your workouts and supporting overall health. One of the best ways to do that? Don’t fear carbohydrates!

Carbs are your body’s primary energy source, particularly for high-intensity or long-duration activities. While it’s common to avoid carbs due to their reputation, complex carbohydrates like oats, quinoa, sweet potatoes, and whole grains are packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals that help stabilize blood sugar, boost energy, and keep you feeling full.

For perimenopausal and menopausal women, carbs also play a role in balancing hormones and supporting serotonin production, which can enhance mood and promote better sleep. Incorporating the right carbs into your diet can fuel your workouts, help with recovery, and support muscle maintenance.

So let’s give carbs the love they deserve! Fuel your activities, and let carbs help you stay strong and energized 💪🏼💥

Pacing > Racing any day! Why? Because I get to cheer, inspire, and witness some of the most amazing comebacks and epic finishes. Watching runners dig deep and hit their goals is way more rewarding than chasing my own PR. Plus, I get to be that friendly face that reminds them they can do it—even when they’re questioning their life choices around mile 10. We did it, Team! 🏃🏽‍♀️💪🏼

Refueling after a workout is just as important as the workout itself! 🏋️‍♀️ To maximize recovery, your post-workout meal should include both carbohydrates and protein. Carbs help replenish your muscle glycogen (energy) stores, while protein aids in muscle repair and growth. Together, they support quicker recovery and help you get stronger for your next session. 💪 Make sure to refuel within 30-60 minutes after you finish training for optimal results!

🌟 “Where You Start Is Far Less Important Than Where You Are Willing to Go” 🌟

Life is a journey, not a sprint. Too often, we get caught up in comparing our beginnings to someone else’s middle or end. But remember, your starting point does not define you. What truly matters is the direction you’re heading and the willingness to push forward. 💪🏼🔥

Whether you’re just beginning a new chapter, facing a challenging obstacle, or on the brink of something great, the most important thing is to keep your eyes on where you want to go. 🏆Embrace every step of the process, learn from the ups and downs, and don’t let the fear of where you are now hold you back.
🤩🤩
It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress. Every small step you take brings you closer to your goals. The path may not always be straight, but as long as you’re willing to keep moving forward, your potential is limitless.☄️

✨ Focus on your journey. Trust the process. Keep moving forward. Your future self will thank you. ✨🙏🏼

Sometimes life gets busy, and meal prep slips through the cracks. But no worries—my local Safeway supermarket had everything I needed to throw together a nutritious, cost-effective lunch on the fly! 🛒✨

Today’s emergency supermarket haul:

• 🥫 Canned chicken: A lean protein source that’s ready to go.
• 🥗 Bagged salad: Fresh greens without the fuss.
• 🌶️ Mini peppers: Crunchy, colorful, and perfect for snacking.
• 🍶 Cottage cheese: High in protein and great for satisfying hunger.
• 🥭 Mango: A sweet, nutritious treat.
• 🥣 High protein yogurt: For an extra protein boost.
• 🍚 Ready to eat quinoa: A quick and easy whole grain that I keep in my desk for unexpected late days.
