Goals.. no one ever really solely talks about goals and their significance in the horse world but they should be. No matter the size Without goals, as horsemen and women we loose track of ourselves, our training, and even our passion. Why? We get lazy, tired of the same old thing, feel useless in the horse world maybe? Bored? Burnt out? I’m not saying all these will happen but at some point when you’re in this long enough you go through at least one of these at some point in whatever level you’re riding in and whatever discipline you’re riding in. Without goals what are you striving for? You’re probably thinking “well I trail ride or just ride for fun it won’t happen to me and I don’t set any goals.” You’re setting goals as soon as you hit the trail whether you realize it or not. Right? Even if your goal is just to have a safe , fun ride with your best friend.. that’s setting a goal. As equestrians we need to set goals for ourselves whether it’s to cross that creek without our horse balking or to jump that double oxer at the Olympics, or to just have a fun ride out in your field..goals are important no matter your level, no matter how long you’ve been riding, no matter your discipline. Always strive to be a better horse person, always strive to be a better rider.. not only for yourself.. but for your horse as well. So ask yourself.. what are you striving for in the horse world? What is your goal? Follow it. No matter what.. and the passion will come back.

What are your thoughts on goals?

We always have so much fun with Starfruit & Apricot Handmade Assortments, LLC and their crochet classes. Everyone learned a new craft and went home with a cute little bumble bee. 🐝
