The Back-to-School Night for all elementary schools is from 4 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to download the district-approved communications platform, ParentSquare, to their mobile devices. School messages are already going out!

On Friday, OMNI Construction hosted a celebration for their employees and community members who have made the Bridges of Moore Village a reality in record time! They are finalizing the last few duplexes for MPS students in need of housing.

Members of the community, Bridges of Moore, MPS employees, MPS Board of Education members, OMNI Construction employees, Landmark Fine Homes, Moore Chamber members and MPS Foundation members came out to have lunch, hear great music, catch up, and see the final touches made to the housing units on Shermines Way.

Scoops Ice Cream Truck, Big Truck Taco, and Hot Dog OKC provided food trucks for the afternoon’s event.

Way to go, MPS! This week, the Moore Chamber of Commerce held its first Building Tomorrow’s Talent: MPS Internship Appreciation Luncheon at First United Bank in Moore.

MPS reps, local business reps, owners from many industries, Chamber members, and former interns were in attendance. MCC Executive Director Kim Brown welcomed guests and introduced MPS Career Specialists Krissa Cavnar and Crystal Bonds of MHS, Sharee Ferguson of WHS, and Erin Baldwin of SHS.

The Chamber partnered with the MPS Career Education team during the 2025-26 school year to secure student internship sites through Chamber membership, resulting in great success. With the help of the Chamber, the MPS Career Counselors have grown the program in less than seven years from five interns to more than 200 this past school year.

Mentors Hoang Lam of Arena Accounting and Lori Fitzgerald of The Builders Collective: R&R Homes spoke about their experiences mentoring MPS interns at their business sites, and encouraged business attendees to consider doing the same.

Former MPS interns and grads also shared about their time as interns and how it shaped their college and career decisions. SHS 2025 grad Taehyun Hwang, MHS 2023 grad Diego Lopez, and WHS 2025 grad Isabella Walker each expressed gratitude for current internship sites and the mentors they had during their time. Additionally, they encouraged businesses to consider the positive impact internships have not only on high school students, but also on attracting future employees to their own industries.
