In partnership with ALSDE Office of Extended Learning, we visited Barbour County Schools to witness the impactful summer learning that is occurring at BCES. Opportunities for learning beyond the school year are necessary to ensure our students keep growing and do not fall victim to the summer slide.

The Ignite Conference hosted by Oxford City Schools was a showcase of the expertise that is driving the district. In partnership with Marzano and SREB, participants were treated to learning that will serve efforts for planning for the upcoming school year. It was an amazing day!!!

She will also review ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) research and how ACEs impact resiliency, stress, and learning.
