Cheers to Chapter 36 🥂… I wanna thank God for blessing me with another year!
A lot of people spend almost everything they earn, live on borrowed money, and struggle to make ends meet. This happens regardless of how much you earn.

What does self love mean to you?
Self love for me is knowing that I cannot do it all by myself and that is okay. For years, I have been trying to figure it all out, and wanting to "stay strong", but really falling apart on the inside.
Ladies, learn to say no, learn to set boundaries, learn to ask for help, and learn your body.

I have been receiving a lot of questions about what is a financial coach and why do people need them. The best way to put it is a Financial Coach is like a Fitness Coach for your money. Whether people believe it or not, fitness and money are similar. A Fitness Coach tracks your nutrition, we track your cash flow. You need to have an understanding of your income and expenses to figure out where you can improve. The best way to do that is monitor what’s coming in and out of your bank account, credit cards, etc. It’s easy for money to “vanish” and not realize where it is going, but once you start monitoring the outflows you can get intentional about how you spend and align it with your values.
Ultimately, everyone has goals in mind, and may need assistance, accountability, and a game plan for achieving them. Hiring a financial coach is an investment in your future self. We are there to guide you through best practices, offer their expertise, give you the tools to implement a sound plan, and cheer you on. By doing this, you have the added benefits of confidence, routine, and a sense of achievement. Much like you’d have with a fitness coach. At the end of the day, a coach is there to root you on from the sidelines as you put in the effort to get your goals.

Let me make something very clear: Relationships with money is highly emotional, and because of this, sometimes the traditional financial tips may be hard for you to follow.
Have you ever asked yourself, why aren't these budgeting and saving tips working?
Or why am I still doing the same stuff over and over again?
Or, I feel like something is missing, is there something wrong with me?
There is nothing wrong with you, you just need to understand your relationship with money, how to manage that, and everything else will fall in line.

My journey to financial wellness started around 13 years old. I produced income as a young, talented, and ambitious hairstylist. Years later, I discovered that I had an addiction to saving money and limited beliefs around spending money. After mastering my mindset, I cleared $30,000 in debt, saved 12 months of emergency savings, increased my credit score to over 800, invested into 401's, and IRAs. My biggest dream is to give my daughter a life full of amazing opportunities creating generational wealth.

Money ain't the problem, it's the symptom of the real problem.
Let's try a little exercise:
1.) List 3 things you remember your parents telling you about money.
Ex: No, we can't afford that.
2.) Take the negative thoughts and investigate them. Why was your parents saying this?
Ex: We were living paycheck to paycheck. My parents wanted me to have it, but there was not enough money to buy it.
3.) Rewrite your new truth about money.
Ex: I deserve this. Instead of saying I can't afford something, figure out how I can afford it.
4.) Every time you have a moment of that negative thought, refer to your new truth.
