Porter MTB

This is the one right here, hands down my fav bike. It’s the Canyon Lux Trail, and it’s fast. This is the perfect Park City bike, actually the perfect bike for a lot of places. 140mm front and 125mm rear travel, 65 degree ht angle, 27lbs out of the box ready to shred. Ride FOX Bike 36 SL up front so you can charge into stuff and it’s there for you, and flex stays for the rear suspension so it’s really light and super efficient but still feels great. Storage in the downtube is sick as well, and it comes with the multi tool and tool sleeve. It’s the perfect bike for me and how I wanna ride!

Happy Fathers Day! Spent the afternoon riding Deer Valley Resort bike park where the kids have grown up learning how to ride bikes. Great to see so many friends and their families as well today, we’re lucky to be able to share this with our crew. First photo is today, second is 2019 when the boys were 7 and 9 years old, third is today’s Deer Valley ice cream sandwich and fourth is with Milo Porter in 2018 (they are the best in the world and we get them every year), fifth photo is Milo’s first ever day in a bike park with McGazza, Carston Oliver and Ana Cristina Rodriguez-Yakovleff when he was 5 years old, sixth photo is Owen Porter when he was 6 years old at DV, seventh is the whole fam with Megan too in 2021, eighth is Milo putting on a clinic today, ninth photo is cruising the neighborhood when the boys were 3 and 5 years old, tenth is Milo at 4 years old in the backyard, eleventh is at DV when the boys were 9 and 11. Here’s to a lifetime more of riding with my family!

My Canyon Spectral is the chosen one, as you can clearly see here in the first photo. Love this bike, it’s fun as a full 29er with enduro tires, mullet with Kenda Tire USA | Bicycle DH tires, or in xc mode with light and fast Rush XC tires on ENVE MTB M5 wheels. It climbs like a mtn goat, absolutely rips on the way down but is so playful too. Took me a minute to get used to the longer reach on this bike but now I’m not sure how I used to ride such short reach bikes. In frame storage for tools and tube and stuff, and a bottle cage in the front triangle. 34.9 seat post so is tall guys can keep it strong solid at full climbing height. 150mm front and 140mm rear travel makes it a great bike for pretty much everything, if I could only have one bike in my life this would be the one. Can’t believe we made this happen… saw the snow forecast for Japan, booked tickets and a room on Monday and flew out Tuesday, just in time for the biggest storm of the season. Always wished I could chase a storm like this and it’s even cooler doing it with the family. Been saving my skymiles for years and this seemed like a great way to use em! Pretty sure we’ll be back, this place is amazing. Never ridden snow this deep in all my life, thankful to be able to experience this with the fam!
