Ethiopian coffee pot (Jebena)
Bought this Ethiopian coffee pot (Jebena) for $21 at a thrift store.
Material: It is often made of pottery (fired clay) by hand.
Usage: Place directly over coals or a low flame (or on a stove with a suitable base/heat diffuser) until the water boils with the coffee.
Flavor: Many believe that earthenware gives coffee a distinctive taste, and also allows the coffee grounds to settle at the bottom of the pot without the need for a paper filter.
Ideal for serving coffee during gatherings.
A heritage and decorative piece; even when not in use, it is a distinctive aesthetic element in the kitchen or living room.

I thrifted a stacked chest & it somehow matches the coffee table I made a custom stain for perfectly??!!!
the Facebook Marketplace Fates smiled upon me today. I was about 80% sure it looked like it would work with my current wood tones but I was NOT expecting it to match this well considering my coffee table was a wild experiment of me mixing 4 stains to get the precise color I wanted.
the bottom part is locked and I haven't a key, but I may bring it to a locksmith and see if they can forge a new key?! something is rustling in there and I'm curious. the previous owner also couldn't get into it 😅

This shelf is cute! But what should i use it for :)
I know that this kind of thing is intended for letters and keys and stuff, but i was wondering what else i could use it for. I was thinking of painting it and using it to hang my bags but im not sure. Let me know in the comments please!

Does it usually have a shade?
I found this for $3. Is this how it comes with no shade or is the shade missing? My eyes hurt it’s so bright I feel like it needs a shade. If it originally had a shade what would it have looked like?
