"Wellness Spaces" next to University Hospital's MICU and SICU were officially open for business yesterday! Thanks to the efforts of Chris Hogge and Christian Suri, they have been stocked with snacks, drinks, books, and much-needed caffeine. The beautiful flyers are the work of Elizabeth Chern. We hope these spaces will offer a small mental & physical escape for all the hard-working healthcare workers at UH.

The Wellness Team is looking for some extra hands to help keep these Spaces stocked, please fill out our Volunteer Form if you are able to help!

Yesterday was the 3rd Thursday that the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District and CareSparc Consulting's Emergency Response Food Distribution provided fresh produce to 1100 seniors and 100+ families during the COVID-19 crisis. The produce has been donated by food rescue organization Table to Table. Volunteer and leadership support is provided by students of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and other Newark schools, the Greater Newark Conservancy, NJ Cares, Newark community members, and Newark councilmen and women. The NJ Dept of Health and Community Wellness provides gloves, hand sanitizer, and masks.
