🌸Rosengarten views

🏔️walk down to Lake Zurich for more beautiful views

🏰must visit: the 13th century castle in the heart of the town

‼️more itineraries coming throughout this week, so make sure you’re following 𝐋𝐚𝐮 🌸 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬, 𝐕𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐬 & 𝐃𝐈𝐘𝐬 to stay updated!

🚞 take a train from Zurich to Arth-Goldau, where you’ll pick up the Rigi Cogwheel Railway
pro tip: GO EARLY! the crowds pick up after 10am

🚂 fun fact: the Rigi Cogwheel Railway opened in 1871 & was Europe’s first mountain train

🍻 spend some time at the summit, Rigi Kulm, and have a local beer with a view

🏔️ you can choose to take the cog railway back but if you can, I recommend hiking the 5.5 miles back down to Arth-Goldau station

👟 this hike doesn’t require any special gear: I wore my running sneakers and was absolutely fine

🔊 sound on! along the way, you’ll hear tons of cowbells and pass cow pastures

🐮 enjoy the adorable moos but be respectful of their space

🧀 bring physical Swiss Francs with you: HUGE regret not having any with me when passing this farm selling their own cheese 🫠

🏔️ take your time & savor the views along the way

💧this waterfall was one of my fave surprise finds!

💦 literal Alpine water splashing you on a sunny summer day? I’m in.

🤔 think they’ll be selling anytime soon? asking for a friend…

⛪️ the tiniest church I’ve ever seen 🥹

🖼️ real life Bob Ross painting

🙏 very excited when the hike’s end destination was spotted- after briefly going the wrong way at one point, this was needed reassurance!

🏔️ 100/10 recommend this hike!

🫕 don’t forget to treat yourself to Swiss fondue when you get back to Zurich

coffee & a park part 1 brought me to Roslyn, which is full of history, charm & Sweet Harbor Coffee ☕️🌳

it’s under a 10 minute walk to Gerry Pond Park from Sweet Harbor, making this a perfect stroll for any time of year (already excited to go back in fall 🤭). plus, Roslyn’s main street has a bunch of great shops- both new & vintage- to browse as you make your way to the park.

📸 snapshots from a fantastic weekend in nyc

the idea of being self-conscious about looking like a tourist in a spot close to you came up this past weekend. while I can say I used to be like that, it’s so much greater to not care and just do what you want! do all the things, touristy or not. if it brings you joy, who cares?

very blessed to live so close to nyc & also very aware that I’ve barely scratched the surface of all there is to see there, so why wouldn’t I wanna do it all in one of the greatest cities in the world?

featured locations:
📍 Chelsea Piers
📍 fryingpannyc
📍 Madison Square Garden
📍 Mom's Kitchen & Bar (mac & cheese pancakes. say less)
📍 Intrepid Museum
📍Hudson River Park
📍 view of Little Island from Chelsea Piers
📍 Little Island
📍 Rory’s Rooftop (solid bottomless brunch special)
📍 walking the Highline
📍 The Banc Cafe (half price wine bottles on Sunday!)
📍Chelsea Piers🤍
